Communityhouse

A branded community and forum platform that does not feel rented

Communityhouse is a branded community and forum platform — Circle-shaped, with a touch of Discourse — built for operators who want a community surface that is unambiguously theirs, not a tab inside Discord or another company's product. Threaded discussion, spaces with permissions, member directory, events calendar, and a single-sign-on bridge to whatever main product the community sits next to.

Key features

  • Threaded discussions with rich-text + image + code-block formatting
  • Spaces with public, members-only, and paid-tier permissions
  • Member directory with profiles and search
  • Events calendar (post in-platform, sync to attendee calendars)
  • Direct messaging between members with admin moderation tools
  • Notifications via email digest and (if licensed) push
  • SSO bridge to your main product for single-credential signup
  • Reporting on engagement, post velocity, top contributors, churn

What you get

Communityhouse launches as a branded community on the customer’s domain. Spaces and starter posts are seeded during onboarding (often imported from Circle, Discourse, or Discord export). SSO bridge to the customer’s main product is configured if a paired AppLiaison product is present; otherwise Clerk handles auth standalone.

Sample customer story (placeholder — illustrative only)

A cohort-based course operator with 4,200 active alumni licensed Communityhouse to escape Circle after their MAU pricing crossed $3k/month. The migration consolidated Discord (chatter), Circle (paid community), and a Substack newsletter (announcements) into a single branded surface. Six-month cohort retention rose 14 percentage points, mostly attributed to the alumni community feeling like an extension of the program instead of a separate product.

What’s NOT included

  • Realtime voice / video chat. Communityhouse is text-shaped; voice is a partner integration.
  • Livestreaming with viewer chat. Use Creatorline.
  • Embedded LMS. Pair with Coursebase or Cohortly.
  • Email marketing campaigns. Sendwave handles broadcast email; Communityhouse handles digests of community activity.
