Loanpath

Lending and BNPL origination plus servicing with audit-grade compliance

Loanpath is the AppLiaison answer for operators going to market with a lending product — small consumer loans, BNPL splits, secured personal lines, point-of-sale financing — who need both origination (apply, decision, fund) and servicing (statement, repay, collect, write-off) under their brand and under serious compliance discipline. It runs on the Internal Tools Stack because the buyer is a CISO / compliance officer as much as it is a product head, and SOC 2 + audit log + immutable archive are not nice-to-haves.

Key features

  • Configurable loan products (term, BNPL split, line of credit) with rate caps per state
  • Underwriting decisioning with rule + score combination, override workflow
  • Bureau pulls via Experian / Equifax / TransUnion (soft + hard)
  • KYC + KYB via Stripe Identity, Persona, or customer-supplied vendor
  • Funding via Modern Treasury / Plaid for ACH disbursement
  • Servicing engine for amortization, statements, repay, prepay, late fees
  • Collections workflow with cure period, charge-off, and attorney handoff steps
  • Immutable audit log (object-locked S3) for regulator-grade evidence

What you get

Loanpath ships as a multi-tenant SaaS under your brand. The bureau pull integrations and KYC vendor of choice are wired during onboarding; a parallel-run sandbox validates underwriting and servicing outputs against historical loan tape before the first real loan funds.

Sample customer story (placeholder — illustrative only)

A 22-person consumer-lending fintech licensed Loanpath after a board demand for SOC 2 Type II and an inability to ship the audit-log retention their existing in-house servicing platform had skipped. Eight months later the SOC 2 Type II report was clean, the audit log archive was passing third-party verifications, and the engineering team had redirected the equivalent of 1.5 FTE off compliance plumbing toward product roadmap.

What’s NOT included

  • Capital provision. Loanpath is software; the customer brings their own capital, warehouse line, or balance sheet.
  • Charter / banking license. Loanpath does not get the customer a license; we partner with sponsor banks and ILC partners.
  • Mortgage origination. Out of scope; mortgage compliance is a different regulatory regime and product roadmap.
  • Credit-card issuing. Out of scope; integrate with a card-issuing partner (Marqeta, Lithic).
