Subbox

A subscription-box storefront with churn-resistant lifecycle email built in

Subbox is a subscription-box storefront under your brand. It bundles a Medusa-powered subscription engine, a customer self-service portal that actually reduces churn (skip a month, pause, swap, gift, change cadence — without an email to support), and a churn-aware lifecycle email engine that knows the difference between an "about-to-cancel" and a "happy" customer.

Key features

  • Subscription products with monthly, weekly, or custom cadences
  • Customer self-service portal (skip, pause, swap, gift, change card)
  • Churn-aware lifecycle email with Klaviyo or Sendwave
  • Gift subscriptions with redemption codes and prepaid bundle terms
  • Dunning management with retry schedule and grace-period rules
  • Curation tools for the operations team (cohort assignments, this-month variant pick)
  • Integrations with ShipStation or Shippo for monthly fulfillment runs
  • Reporting on retention, ARR, MRR, churn cohorts, and cohort LTV

What you get

Subbox launches as a subscription-aware storefront under your brand. The first month’s bundle is configured during onboarding, dunning policies and lifecycle email templates are seeded, and Stripe is wired for recurring billing on day one. Klaviyo or Sendwave drives the lifecycle; Subbox owns the data that drives them.

Sample customer story (placeholder — illustrative only)

A 9-person bean-of-the-month coffee subscription brand licensed Subbox after watching their churn rate creep up on a Recharge install they had outgrown. The win after one quarter was the self-service portal: 38% of would-be cancels turned into pauses or cadence changes instead, recovering an estimated $84k of annualized MRR.

What’s NOT included

  • One-time-purchase commerce. Use Storeline. Subbox does not pretend to be a general storefront.
  • Multi-vendor / marketplace. Use Bazaar.
  • Custom-curated digital subscriptions (Patreon-shape). Use Creatorline.
  • Inventory forecasting / supply planning. We export consumption to your existing ERP / forecasting tool.
